No matter what the student's goal is in dance, the staff influences the dancer's lives because we see them every week for years. Being a positive role model and a good teacher is just as important as being a good dancer. Director Jennifer Smith firmly believes that the best teachers specialize in the discipline of dance and age group they are teaching, which accounts for the large staff. Dance Expressions is especially proud of our outstanding master teachers on staff.

Our teachers have a diversity of education and training. Some of their experience includes up to 25 years of teaching and some have Masters and Bachelors degrees, as well as specialty training in Nutrition, DMA Teachers Certification, Choreography, Classical Ballet in the Kirov (Russian) Tradition, The Cecchetti Ballet Method and The Laban Method of Modern Dance. They have studied in cities like New York at The Joffrey Ballet and Broadway Dance Center, Los Angeles at The Millennium and The Edge Performing Arts Studio, Boston and San Francisco.  Countries include Ireland, Latin America and Poland.  They have danced under the tutelage of famous dancers and choreographers such as, Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, Keith Cross, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Steven Boyd, Frank Hatchett, Jeff Amnsen, Dave Scott, Chris Judd, Slam Gauwloos, Nick Drago, Beth Gulledge-Brown, the legendary Anatol Vilzak and of course, Bob Fosse.

These Instructors have also had a wide range of talented careers in the world of dance, performing in notable place like The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., The Lincoln Center in New York. They have danced with professional teams, including The Cougar Dolls, The Houston Oiler Dancers, The Houston Rockets Power Dancers and Crysalis Dance Company, and touring countries like The United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Ireland, Tokyo and Latin America.  Our staff dedicates themselves to continuing education in the forms of conventions and annual training through organizations like: Tremaine, Pulse, Monsters of Hip Hop and Jump and they continue to take regular workshops and classes to keep current in their vocation and passion.
