Assistant Director
Ms. Ashley began her dance career as a small child in San Jacinto
College’s preschool
dance program. She studied at the Friendswood Ballet for three years
performing in their
annual production of The Nutcracker. After taking a long break from
dance, Ms. Ashley
joined the Friendswood Fillies and danced on the team for 6 years, 3 as
an Officer. She
then went on to the National Champion Friendswood High School
Wranglerettes where
she was chosen as Junior Line Officer and Grand Marshal her senior
year.
Ms. Ashley has won several National Championship titles, not only with
her teams, but
also as a soloist. She has studied dance at several studios in the
Houston area and
received a dance scholarship at San Jacinto College South for 3 years.
She was also
chosen to attend the American College Dance Festival for the past 3
years and this past
year was a part of the ensemble chosen to perform at the National
College Festival at the
Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Ms. Ashley has also
performed with Crysalis Dance
Company. She currently teaches many classes at Dance Expressions in
Friendswood, is
assisting with Steven Boyd’s Dance Ensemble, and is the
Assistant Director at Dance Expressions.
