Jazz
is a style of dance that finds its roots in ballet, but was enhanced by
musical trends, social dances, and the popularizations of dance
through movie musicals. Classes place an emphasis on
isolating
body parts, increased flexibility, and exhibition of individual
personality.

Registration and Tuition:

Dress Code: Any
solid color leotard (no prints) or fitted dance top.
Light tan tights, black laceless jazz shoes. Biker
shorts,
jazz pants, or dance shorts are optional. No T-shirts allowed.
Hair Requirements: Long
hair must be pulled back neatly in a bun for ballet or lyrical classes,
or a ponytail for hip-hop, jazz, or tap classes. Short hair
should be pinned back with clips.
