The Recital Experience

Since dancing is a performing art, stage performance is considered an integral and important part of student's dance education. Our dance recital is truly an exciting and rewarding family experience.  Dance Expressions has annual recitals and all classes participate in the show. There are, however, ways to be a student at Dance Expressions and not perform in recital if needed.

On the odd years we do a recital that has a theme, and on the even years we perform a story line recital. Some examples of our shows are “Annie”, “My Favorite Things”, and “Charlotte and the Chocolate Factory”.  On the story line years, the main cast is selected by audition with judges not affiliated with the studio. 

  
Our Hassle Free Recital package is one of best advantages of being in a recital at Dance Expressions. This program makes recital costs easy to budget and includes lots of extras! All students at Dance Expressions are in this program and included with your tuition payments. The package includes the following:

·        unlimited recital tickets/admission

·        a professional DVD of the performance

·        a recital T-shirt with the students names on it

·        all rehearsal fees and recital fees

·        costume alterations if needed

The only outside cost you pay is for the costume.  You will pay a $40.00 per costume deposit in November and the balance of the costume in February.

Our recitals are held at the beautiful Stafford Centre. Dance Expressions has preferred customer status with the venue, and gets to select recital dates before dozens of other schools in the area. The professional venue has state of the art sound and lighting equipment, wonderful seating, professional dressing rooms, and a spacious lobby for the full experience for our students.
