DE Code of Conduct for Parents & Students
This code of conduct aims to create a positive and supportive environment for all members of the dance studio community.
Interaction with Staff:

Respectful Communication: Communicate with staff members in a polite and respectful manner, both in person and through electronic means (email, phone, etc.).

Constructive Feedback: When providing feedback, whether positive or critical, do so in a constructive and professional manner. Focus on specific observations and avoid personal attacks or generalizations.

Professionalism: Refrain from using inappropriate language or engaging in gossip or rumors about staff members and other students.

Support Staff Decisions: Understand and respect the studio's policies and the decisions made by the studio's staff regarding class placement, choreography, and studio operations.
Interaction with Other Families:

Respectful and Inclusive: Treat all families with respect and kindness, regardless of their background, dance ability, or financial situation.

Avoid Gossip and Negativity: Refrain from engaging in gossip or negative comments about other students, families, or their children's dance progress.

Support and Encourage: Create a positive and supportive environment for all students by cheering on all dancers and celebrating their successes.

Conflict Resolution: If a conflict arises with another family, address it directly and respectfully with the other family involved. If unable to resolve the issue, seek assistance from the studio director.
General Conduct:

Observe Studio Rules: Adhere to all studio rules and regulations, including those related to studio hours, drop-off/pick-up procedures, and classroom etiquette.

Respect Studio Property: Treat studio equipment and facilities with care and respect.

Be Punctual: Arrive on time for scheduled classes and events to minimize disruptions.

Positive Environment: Demonstrating respect, kindness, and good sportsmanship.
Consequences of Violations:

Verbal Warning: For minor violations, a verbal warning may be issued.

Written Warning: For repeated or more serious violations, a written warning may be issued.

Suspension of Studio Privileges: In cases of severe violations, studio privileges may be suspended, including class attendance and participation in studio events.
