Instructors: DE has 18 teachers that specialize in the discipline and the age group that they teach. Many have degrees in dance and all do continuing education and training. Several Master level teachers are on our regular staff. Many of our teachers have been with Dance Expressions for 8 or more years, because they love the teamwork, the kids and parents, it is a great place to work.
Philosophy: “Our jobs are to help enrich our students life’s not only as dancers, but as people. We see these kids for years, and so while we are preparing them for any goal they have in dance, we also work on life skills like teamwork, goal setting, and self esteem.” – Jennifer Smith
Program Description: Classes at Dance Expressions are designed to provide a step-by-step syllabus for development, in accordance with the student's physical, mental and emotional growth. Advancement through the curriculum is related more to the student's progress than to age. Every dancer's body is different, and as they understand their own physical limitations and potential, they will gain confidence, stamina, and self-expression. It is the policy of the studio to provide the highest standards of correct training while maintaining a fun environment. Every effort is made to develop the individual talents of each student.
Facility: We have recently moved into a new state of the art, 8300 square foot facility in Friendswood. The new location has four large studios and a multi purpose room, a snack bar, and locker rooms. All studios have professional sprung wood flooring with marley dance surface, and viewing areas for parents. The large lobby is family friendly and has a safe drop off area.
Special Award: Dance Expressions was honored by Dance Teacher/Dance Spirit Magazine as one of 50 studios in the United States "Making Moves". We were selected because of our reputation of sportsmanship, passion for the art of dance, and are active on the competition circuit.
